SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The Lions headed north to Central Park to race at the 2018 Golden State Athletic Conference Championship. Vanguard had previously run this course earlier in the season at the Mustang Challenge, and the familiarity pushed the Blue and Gold across the finish line in a historic feat. 

"It was super exciting because it's something since the summer we've had our eyes on," Savannah Yi (SO/Glendora, CA) said after the race. "It's the first championship Coach [Wilkins] has ever won so that was really cool we get to do that for him. We got to show off all of our hard work and all of the work him and Coach Kelly put into the team."
