Evan Hernandez, a junior at Vanguard, earned eighth place in the men's 8-kilometer race in 24:28.5 at The Master's University Invitational at Central Park in Santa Clarita, Calif. Hernandez helped Vanguard finish 12th as a team with 331 points.
